The Blues Overdrive is regarded as one most exciting and fastest rising acts on the European blues scene right now. The Blues in 2016 can it sound modern? Hell yeah it can! Just listen to The Blues Overdrive and their last CD “CLINCH!” which recently won the  ‘European Blues Awards ‘Album of the Year‘ when the award winners were announced during the London Bluesfest in O2 Arena.. They are one of the new stylish, fresh and young generations-bands of The Blues! They sound so American, but are from Denmark. Amazing that legendary guitarist and producer Duke Robbilard (Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Fabulous Thunderbirds) got attention on them and was keen to cooperate and record with them on two tracks.

The Blues Overdrive in their music get the sounds of the past to sound like the future. With a stylish mix of elements of classic Chicago blues and trance-like and hypnotic delta grooves they are living proof of how blues music can be played in an exciting modern form.
