Paddy began his career playing in  pubs in his early teens. At the age of 13 he  performed in a local music competition, impressing judges. From that moment, one  McIntosh (one of the judges) became his mentor and bought Milner his first Little Feat album which was a defining moment.

Apart from blues and boogie, Milner also explored jazz, classical music and even folk.

Milner remembers his father introducing him to the music of the likes of Jack Bruce, with whom Milner regularly toured with until Bruce’s death in 2014. We could listen to Milner playing in 2013 when he performed in Jack Bruce’s band during Suwałki Blues Festival.

Read the praise from the likes of Jack Bruce and Dave Brubeck:

“I highly recommend it. Somehow things start to feel much better!” Jack Bruce

“I love it…there’s a guy who can really play the piano” Dave Brubeck
