DOKTOR BLUES (PL)

Doktor Blues showed up on music scene in 2005 in Pegaz Club, in Bydgoszcz. Doktor Blues was at first only Jack Herzberg’s (the bluesman from Bydgoszcz and founder of Green Grass band) alias. This new blues alter ego was Jacek’s expression of accoustic blues form.

On the way to creative research the leader is accompanied by musicians of diverse artistic pedigrees, normally performing in other groups in Bydgoszcz. In the group you will be able to hear: Karol Szymanowski – percussion, Paul Tomaszewski – acoustic guitar, Waldemar Knade – viola, Jędrzej Kubiak – acoustic guitar and Resonator, Marcin Grabowski – bass, Jacek Muża – tuba, Łukasz Sylwestrzak – violin, Andrzej Neumann – Bass, Robert Robaszkiewicz – drums.

The group performed at: Rawa Blues Festival, Suwałki Blues Festival, Olsztyńskie Noce Bluesowe, Przeworsk Blues Festiwal, Spring Blues Night, Blues na Dołku Ciechanów, Blues&Folk Festival Bydgoszcz, Festiwal Bluesowy w Białej Podlaskiej, Toruń Blues Meeting, Śląska Jesień Bluesowa, Bydgoszcz-Toruń Harmonica Bridge and numerous clubs in Poland.

Doktor Blues music is a mix of several music genres: blues, folk, bluegrass, traditional jazz. Thanks to the original arrangements and modern means of expression it is an interesting proposal for a wide audience.

In Suwalki Jacek Herzberg (vocal, guitar) will perform with Andrew Neumann – bass and Jaroslaw Koźbiał – cajon.
