THE BLUESTOWN KINGS (NO)

Jostein Forsberg, Morten Omlid & Trond Ytterbø are three of Norway’s most famous and seasoned blues artists. They come from the town of Notodden Norway and have been playing and recording for 30 years with their respective bands Notodden Blues Band and Spoonful Of Blues. When the three let their bands rest and play together they call themselves The Bluestown Kings and run through a vast repertoire of self penned blues songs and well known standards from artists like Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Sonny Boy Williamsson, Walter Horton, Mississippi Fred McDowell and R.L. Burnside. ‘

Jostein, Morten and Trond live to play the blues and they are always presenting their music with great skills and the intent to entertain and to have a good time.  These musicians have also toured and recorded with artists like Jeremy Spencer, Lazy Lester, James “Superchikan” Johnson, Louisiana Red, Big Jack Johnson, Bernie Marsden and Johnny “Guitar” Watson.
