WALTER TROUT & BAND (USA)


The star of the third day of Suwałki Blues Festival 2014 will be WALTER TROUT & BAND (USA)” 25 Years Anniversary ” – World Tour 2014. The exquisite american guitarist will perform on VII SBF on 12 July.

He is rarely described in any other way than as a ” gladiator guitar player”. All this thanks to his staggerer technique which affects his great performance.
It was appreciated by the BBC listeners who voted for him in survey which named him the 6th guitar player of all times. He was right after Himmy Page and Jimmi Hendrix – the place just right where many can dream of.

Trout was born in 1951 in Atlantic City. His career started in late 60’s, and quickly speeded up after he moved to Los Angeles. In the City of Angels, Trout performed with many artists. He was a sideman of such artists as Percy Mayfield and Deacon Jones, he was playing with John Lee Hooker. He was playing with John Mayall’s The Blues Breakers, he had been a member of Canned Heat band. Since 1989 he has been playing as a solo artists. In 25 years, he has recorded many albums with The Radicals, which became hits and even classics.

It all might have not been reall if not for..The Beatles. The famous group performed in his hometown when Trout was 13 years old. Shortly after the concert, Walter decided to give up jazz and palying the trumpet in favour of guitar. After the years, he has no regretts. His fans appreciate the ‘gladiator guitar player’ too.
