Ścigani was formed at the end of 2001 in Silesia. The band was set up by: Rysiek Rajca, Maciek Lipina and Jarek Dobrzański.

Coulple of years later thanks to the TVP 2 programme called HIT GENERATOR Poland heard about the group. They won eight times in a row the edition and twice they received a SUPER HIT statue for the hits such as: “Niby razem” and “Uwierz mi chociaż raz”. They were on the podium at the most important festivals and contest in Poland.

Dyscography of the band consists of three albums: „Nigdy więcej bluesa” from 20015, „Bez hamulców” from 2007 and  “Spiritus Movens” from 2011- they all reveiced a good reviews from the journalists and the fans. The single „Chce się żyć” from the second album was on the Hit Lists and even has reached the 3rd place on the Hit List of the RADIO DLA CIEBIE – the radio from Warsaw. Moreover, the single “Ełyła” promoting “Spiritus movens” reached the 1st place on the   TURBO-TOP list in ANTYRADIO.

The group performed as a support for the world knows artists such as: Chris Farlowe and Norman Beaker Band, Holmes Brothers, Johny Rawls Soul Blues Revue, Walter Trout and The Radicals, Joe Bonamassa, Magic Slim.

Ścigani perform their own repertoire and covers of the “Dżem” band.

Maciek Lipina – guitar, vocal
Seweryn Piętka – drums
Marcin Grzybek – bass
Paweł Ambroziak – guitar

Maciej Lipina apart from being a vocalist in the band is also an actor. The vocalist starred in spectacle called “Skazany na Bluesa” directed by Arkadiusza Jakubika where he played unforgetable Rysiek Ridel.
