Such artists as Earl Thomas, with a strong voice, amerge in the music world really occasionally. His voice with a characteristic hoarseness isn’t the only asset he has.

American artist is aware of his powerful, well-trained voice which together with his charisma pull all the hearstrings of the listeners. At the same time he is decent. He is claiming that he didn’t choose the type of music he is performing, the music chose him: ‘the singer has to write, painter has to paint, and I have to sing!’.

Thomas comes from a musical family from Tennessee. Each member of his family was either playing the instrument or was singing. His mother adored gospel and father was a blues fan. Thanks to that, young Thomas came into terms with these two types of music as well as such artists as: Muddy Waters, Otis Redding, Mahalia Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Gladys Knight.When he was a joung boy, he wasn’t inspired only by gospel and blues. He was amazed by rock music performed by Jimi Hendrixem, Janis Joplin, Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.

Apart from singing he has been composing for many years now. He has been a composer for such stars as Etta James, Solomon Burke, Sceamin’ Jay Hawkins or Tom Jones.

Thomas has been performing on the world’s most prestigious festivals – including Montreux Jazz Festival. He has recorded twelve albums. His songs were used in many films and TV sitcoms (for e.g. ‘ER’).
